Thank you for your interest in attending or hosting one of my workshops! I am pleased to now offer virtual lectures and classes. It makes hosting a teacher much more affordable and offers a student the convenience of working from home in their own workspace. When a student is working from home, they have the advantage of working with their own supplies without the need to pack them up to travel and then maybe forget something you need!

Crazy Quilt Classes

Beginning Crazy Quilt Piecing and Embroidery Stitches: In this class you will learn basic crazy quilt piecing and embroidery stitches. Basic stitches to be covered: feather stitch, cretan, chevron, lazy daisy, blanket stitch, French knot, colonial knot, y or fly stitch, herringbone and back stitch. You will also learn unique and easy methods to make your stitches even! This class can be combined with a second day of embroidery stitches to learn even more of them. 6 hour class

Intermediate Crazy Quilt Stitches: In this class you will learn the more difficult stitches that are often seen. These stitches would include knotted types of stitches, bullion embroidery, different methods of stitching leaves and more! 6 hour class

Whole Cloth Crazy Quilt Fan Piecing: Learn to piece the fans that are often seen in the corners of crazy quilts. I have developed my own method of piecing these fans that is quick and easy. The techniques in this class are from my book, Quilting...Just a Little Bit Crazy. This is an intermediate class. 6 hour class. This class can be combined with a second day to learn embroidery stitches.

Crazy Quilt Landscape Piecing: Learn to piece a crazy quilt landscape using the card stock applique crazy piecing method. My class example is of an ocean scene. The techniques from this class are from my book, Quilting...Just a Little Bit Crazy. 6 hour class. This class can be combined with a second day of embroidery stitches.

Crazy Piecing with Wool: Learn to piece a crazy quilt diamond flower using thick wool fabrics and invisible thread. 6 hour class. The techniques from this class are from my book, Quilting ...Just a Little Bit Crazy. This class can be combined with a second day of embroidery stitches to learn more of them.

I also offer project oriented classes. For all of these classes, we would spend the morning learning basic crazy quilt piecing and the afternoon learning crazy quilt stitches.

Beginning Silk Ribbon Embroidery: Learn all of the basic stitches in silk ribbon embroidery and the differences between stitching with silk ribbon and regular embroidery thread. 6 hour class
